Cinda Real is a story about a girl with one leg and a simple wish: to dance. Despite her physical challenge, Cinda has no desire to fit in, she just wants to go to the Prince’s Ball and dance her heart out. Her determination comes to light when she carves herself a wooden leg, making her dream come true.
Characters

Cinda
Even though she only has one leg, Cinda moves through the world with courage and grace. With the help of crutches, she does all the housework. They are not a burden, but a part of her – as natural as dancing, which she dreams of every day. Although her stepmother and stepsisters treat her unfairly, Cinda’s spirit shines brighter than their manners. She realizes that pride and strength don’t come from magic or princes, but from daring to stand tall and believe in herself.

The Fairy Godmother
The sweet Fairy Godmother lives in a little cabin deep in the woods, surrounded by all kinds of animals. She doesn’t wave magic wands or turn pumpkins into carriages, but her wisdom and kindness guide Cinda when she needs it most. Instead of offering magic solutions, she helps Cinda see that true courage is already within her, waiting to be trusted.

Father
A kind and loving father whose heart has been dispirited by grief after losing his wife, Cinda’s wonderful mother. Hoping to mend their family, he makes mistakes that he doesn’t see at first. But when he finally realizes the truth, he chooses Cinda above all else, and together they begin a new chapter with open hearts and shared strength.

The Prince
The Prince may wear royal clothes, but would much rather run around in torn trousers and muddy shoes. He was raised to value kindness and compassion over wealth and possessions and to never judge a book by its cover. He also thinks Cinda is the most beautiful girl in the world and he admires her for exactly who she is. When she chooses friendship instead of marriage, he smiles and respects her decision, because this is what it means to love someone, doesn’t it?
Themes
Resilience
Life isn’t always fair, but Cinda teaches us that true strength isn’t about never falling down, but about finding the courage to get back up, no matter the obstacles we face.
Inclusion
Cinda reminds us of how important it is to accept people for who they are, rather than judging them by what makes them different. What does it mean to belong?
Freedom of choice
Who says you have to get married to be happy? As Cinda shows us, true happiness comes from choosing your own path and following your heart.
Identity
With the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinda realizes that she is not defined by others, but by the person she chooses to be.
