Follow your dreams. They always know the way!
The story of a boy who didn’t want to be a footballer, but rather a fashion designer. On his path to happiness, he will find a friend and a willingness to be who he is instead of what others want him to be.
Characters
Allen
Allen is quick on the field, clever in class, and yet, off the pitch he feels strangely lost. While his father dreams of soccer trophies, Allen secretly dreams of runways and sketchbooks and colorful clothes no one has ever seen before. He learns that true strength isn’t about running the fastest, but about daring to walk your own path.
Allen’s father
Once a rising soccer star, Allen’s father never got to fulfill his dream. His love, heavy with regret, pushes Allen toward the future he never reached himself. But in his son’s struggle, he must face the hardest truth of all: letting go of his own reflection to truly see Allen for who he is.
Allen’s mother
Allen’s mother is a gentle and loving woman who left her home for love. She built a new one for her family with care and courage. She is her son’s safe harbour and his biggest supporter.
Abu
Abu is Allen’s mother’s pet, but for Allen he is a friend. Mischievous yet loyal, he never leaves Allen’s side, always helps him out of trouble, and more importantly, accepts him exactly as he is.
Ivan
Ivan is new to Allen’s school and, besides not having many friends, he carries within him a loneliness caused by his father, who is always busy and whose attention he tries to attract by getting himself into trouble. Ivan and Allen soon become friends. Ivan is bold, Allen is cautious, but they both share the same dreams. Together, they find not only friendship, but also the courage to imagine a future that they will create themselves.
Themes
Following Your Heart
Allen learns the importance of listening to your own heart and pursuing the dreams that belong to you, even if they’re different from what your parents or society imagine.
Creativity and Self-Expression
Creativity, imagination and hobbies are a source of strength, and sharing your creations with others (friends, family, or even strangers) makes your journey brighter and more meaningful.
Friendship and Support
Ivan and Abu show Allen – and us – that having friends who see, accept, and encourage you makes challenges easier, and that our dreams become more achievable when shared without shame or fear of judgment.
Perseverance and Work
Even with a magic lamp that grants all your wishes, true success can only be achieved through effort, practice, and perseverance. The Genie teaches Allen that there is no magic ingredient for turning dreams into reality, except skill, patience, and determination.
